Tim Gay & The Smokey Boys Band (1978 - present) toured with many Grand Old Opry artists such as Del Reeves, Kitty Wells,Jeanne C. Riley, John Conley, Faron Young, Ferlin Husky, Terri Gibbs, Tommy Cash, Red Sovine, Charly McClain, & Big Al Downing, just to name a few. The band recorded many albums and also was in the movie Friday the 13th Part 2. The band also did TV talk shows including the Mike Martin Show and AM Philadelphia and also recorded two shows of live music for CT Public Brodcasting (CPTV). Before The Smokey Boys Band, Tim Gay wrote and recorded music with Taprock and, in 1964, started the band Eastern Alliance with Bill Wrinn from New Haven, CT and co-wrote the songs "Love Fades Away" and "Please Don't Say You're Sorry" on Wriga Records.
