Tall Trees and The Post Valley Green share the bill at Best Video Film & Cultural Center on Sat., Apr. 15. The show starts at 7 PM and the cover is $10.
Tall Trees began as a project to score a short film set in a dive bar amidst the dark woods of Connecticut. Drawing from that strange and mystical energy, Tall Trees began writing their own songs, attempting to merge their love of cinematic themes and early French pop with their post-punk inclinations.
Tall Trees’ first 5-song EP “Mayday” (recorded at Sonelab Recording studio in Easthampton by Justin Pizzoferrato) was released on their Bandcamp page and all streaming services on May 5th, 2021, and are currently working on and recording a full-length album.
Tall Trees are Joe Russo (guitar, vocals), Marthe Ryerson (keys, violin, vocals), Wes Cross (drums, percussion), and Steve Blonski (bass).
The Post Valley Green is a three-piece indie-Americana collective hailing from Middletown, CT. Members include Jordan Nicholson, guitar and vocals, Jared Schmidt, violin, and Josh Hausman, drums and vocals. Since their formation in the early months of 2020, The PVG has released a slew of emotionally driven, alternative-folk songs and is currently preparing to release their most prolific release to date.
