The Moon Shells/Dr. Caterwaul's Cadre of Clairvoyant Claptraps: Benefit Concert for BVFCC

From Brian Slattery who planned this wonderful event:

For years, people have said I should celebrate my birthday. For years, I have said no. In 2024, I'm turning the random number of 49, and have decided to say no to that no and throw a birthday party for what will likely be the only time in my adult life.

To celebrate, I'm giving myself the present of hearing something I've always wanted to hear, e.g., what happens if I mash together two of the bands I play in, The Moon Shells and Dr. Caterwaul's Cadre of Clairvoyant Claptraps, into an unholy 8-piece band. That means a whole mess of rhythm. Like, really a lot. And I'd love for people to hear it.

This will happen at Best Video, a neighborhood and regional anchor for the arts. So the $10 that gets you in the door all goes to that fine film and cultural institution. They'll be open for beer, wine, and other beverages as well, as per usual. I'll provide some food. The idea is: we play. You lounge about and have a good time. Every once in a while I'll make the band play without me or just wander off stage while other people are soloing to say hello. It'll be fun. Like, really a lot. See you there?

Everybody's invited, of course. In lieu of presents, just bring your bad selves.

(Note: Feb. 3 isn't my actual birthday. But it's very close!)
