The 77 Apes and The Gleeful Conspiracy share the hill at Best Video Film & Cultural Center on Sat., Sept. 16. The show starts at 7 PM and the cover is $10.
The 77 Apes. The rock you didn’t know you needed. 77 Apes is the product of 15 million years of trial and error, desperation, hope, love, sex and endless vinyl spins. The pandemic forced music from the mind and soul to the mouth and hands, weaving influences and experiences and generating songs to drive the demons away or bring them back home to roost.
Re The Gleeful Conspiracy: "In 2020, the world was sent to bed without dinner. We hadn't actually misbehaved, at least no more than usual, so we were dismayed by this summary judgment. Not every window was properly secured, though. We could still see the sky, and if we stood on a stack of Now That's What I Call Music CDs and old K-Tel disco compilations, we found that we could slither out and look for other places. This band is an escape attempt, and we encourage you to join us."
