THE 3 LIVES OF DUNCAN MACRAE: A Reading

Please join Best Video Film & Cultural Center and Playwright Richard Strompf for a free reading of his new play in development, THE 3 LIVES OF DUNCAN MACRAE on Wednesday, June 26th at 7pm. The new work, which Strompf describes as an “existential play about choice and possibility”, will be read by local actors and is free to attend.

The Best Video Coffee Bar will be open for beer, wine, and café drinks.

“The Three Lives of Duncan MacRae” is an existential ‘dramedy’ about life choices and possibility. Inspired by the thought that we all make choices in life, some small, some truly life-changing, that send us on a particular path in life to the exclusion of all other possible lives. Lives we will never live and will never know.

Richard Strompf‘s important life choices include becoming a psychologist, a college professor, and an academic dean; marrying (happily) Ellen his wife, and living in Spring Glen, Hamden for the last 34 years. Now retired, he has now chosen to write a play. As far as those other lives he never chose, he’ll never know (Nor, for that matter, will you).
