Mathew & Friends will play a set of funk and progressive jazz music. Mathew Mueller is a jazz pianist who studied at Amherst College. Julián Bahamón, who will play bass, is a composer studying at the Hartt School of Music. Logan Sidle is a professional rock drummer who is half of the duo band Robot Monster.

Mathew and Friends members have shared the stage at Best Video more than once, combining funk, fusion, and jazz in various past ensembles.
