Clare Byrne & The Big Green Lights was born in the summer of 2024, when singer-songwriter Clare Byrne met up with Chris Wuerth and Bob Boettger to explore a new project: a trio bringing together Byrne's "deep cuts" in folk music with Wuerth and Boettgar's bluegrass and country expertise. This new folk-bluegrass-rockabilly trio features original songs by Byrne and Wuerth, along with stirring covers of Bob Dylan's "Girl from the North Country", Ian Tyson's "Someday Soon," and other blues & traditional tunes.

Clare Byrne is a bandleader & musician, with a career in NYC and Vermont as a choreographer. Byrne began exploring songwriting in Vermont in 2013; recorded the EP "Seed" in 2016, double album "Celestials" in 2019, and the single "Artemis" from 2023. Her band The Celestials is based in New York City and Connecticut.

The Late Brakemen is a reunion of longtime musical friends and collaborators Bob Boettger, Chris Merk, and Bob Elliot. The trio owes its stylings to the influence of all the old Hanks of country music.
