Local rock groups Big Sigh, A Pallet For the Shoal, and A Former Friend share the bill at Best Video Film & Cultural Center on Sat., Dec. 9. The show starts at 7 PM and the cover is $10.
Local alternative band Big Sigh recently released a new EP of original songs onto streaming services. Titled "Don't Cry," it features recent single "Window." Featuring a mix of Punk Rock and Indie, Big Sigh plays music inspired by a myriad of genres. Their driving and forward facing set is a unique mix of music.
A Pallet for the Shoal is a trio from the New Haven area consisting of Lucas Healy-Hibbard (bass), Chris Maiorano (drums), and Clay Eles (vocals / guitar). The group has been performing their original music for 7 years. Nostalgic, country-folk-and-pop-tinged hooks mingle with gritty, lacerating guitars and sweet, piping harmonica, anchored by a solid, thumping, fortification of bass and drums.
A Former Friend offer Americana Gothic music born in Arizona, raised in Kentucky, now in New England.
