Singer/Songwriter Anne Marie Menta celebrates the 25th anniversary of her critically acclaimed 1999 debut album “Untried & True” along with her entire recorded catalog, with a concert on Sat. Nov. 11 at 7 PM at Best Video Film and Cultural Center, 1842 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT. 203-287-9286. Tickets will be available at the door for $15.
Since her first release, Menta has created three other albums, “When the Love Ran Deep,” “Seven Secrets,” and 2020’s “Sky Tonight.” This two-set show will feature selections from the recordings with a band that includes musicians Cady Carroll, Bob Csugie, DeOrmond Mourgen, and Dan Martin. Special guests include fellow New Haven singer-songwriters Shellye Valauskas and Lys Guillorn performing their favorite Menta tunes. Some rarely played songs will be showcased as well as recent material. Surprise guests are rumored to appear.
